More positive COVID-19 cases reported in Madison Central schools

The Madison Central School District reported seven additional positive COVID-19 cases in the district on Tuesday.  Superintendent Joel Jorgenson said that there were four new positive cases in the Madison Elementary School and three in Madison High School.  The number of active COVID-19 cases in the high school is now at eleven, while there are two active cases at the elementary school and one at the middle school.  Madison High School is at a Level Two status currently and face coverings are required until the number of active cases decreases to one-percent or less of the student population.  

Lake County’s number of active COVID-19 cases increased Tuesday also to 166.  Active cases statewide went over the 20-thousand mark, and hospitalizations increased to 315 as of Tuesday.
