Madison Track & Field Weekend Meets & Results

The Madison Track & Field teams competed in a couple of meets over the weekend.

At Howard Wood, the Bulldogs had three total athletes place at the two day meet. Shane Veenhof came in eighth (40.90) in the 110 Hurdles, Aaron Hawkes placed fifth (14’6”) in boys pole vault and Audrey Nelson came in eighth (5’1”) in girls high jump.

They also competed in the O’Gorman Qualifier. For the girls, Jaya Engels came in fifth in the 100-meter, Logan Prostrollo came in fifth in the 400-meter, Jessie Tappe claimed fifth in the 1600-meter and Lydia Nelson finished in third in the triple jump. Taneaja John claimed sixth place in the 100m hurdles for Madison.

The 400m relay team of Ella Peterreins, Karley Theede, Prostrollo and Engels placed fourth with a time of 53.86 seconds. This group also ran the 800m relay together and came in fifth with a time of 1 minute, 54.28 seconds. In the 1600m the team of Tappe, Ellie Keller, Kennedy Bryant and Lani Misar came in second with a time of 4 minutes, 31.47 seconds.

For the boys, Cale Johnson placed sixth in the 100m. Hendry Meyer claimed the only victory for Madison by getting first (12’7”) in the pole vault. The 3200m relay team of Brody Finck, Daniel Aldridge, James Driscoll and Dylan Gerdes finished sixth with a time of 8 minutes, 51.45 seconds. Lastly, the medley relay team of C. Johnson, Ryland Johnson, Nolan Nielsen and Gerdes claimed fifth with a time of 4 minutes, 8.24 seconds.
