Department of Labor Summer Youth Program

The Department of Labor and Regulation is offering teens and young adults between the ages of 14 and 21 opportunities to explore careers in their communities, interact with businesses and educators, and prepare for the world of work through Career Ready SD’s Summer Passport Series.

Fun and engaging activities have been planned across different East Central, Northeast, and South Central South Dakota communities. The sessions begin in early June and run through July.

They will be in Madison on Thursday, June 27, at 10 a.m at the Dakota State University  Cyber/Computer Science Department .

Youth can choose from a variety of careers to explore including aviation, print, signage and media, cyber security, agronomy, law enforcement, and building trades. Business and college/university tours are also offered in some communities.
