Egan Ave Reconstruction Project Open House

Last week the City of Madison held an open house for the upcoming construction projects on Egan Ave. The proposed project will be from 2nd St NE to 9th St NE. At this time, there is no confirmed start date, although it is projected to start next spring.

The street will be entirely redone; items they also discussed were potentially making the street wider and were also taking suggestions on how they can better preserve Egan and its historic elements.

Some concerns people had regarding the project were the project potentially taking too long, bump out concerns, and potential issues with snow removal.

There is expected to be another public input meeting sometime in January or February of next year.
