Municipal officials meet in DeSmet

More than fifty municipal officials representing eight cities gathered at the South Dakota Municipal League’s annual District Two Meeting, held in DeSmet last week.

District Two of the South Dakota Municipal League includes the incorporated municipalities within Lake, Miner, Moody, Kingsbury, Brookings, Sanborn, and Beadle counties. 

Paullyn Carey, Finance Officer for the City of Huron, was re-elected as District 2 Chair and Kelly VanderWal, Councilmember in Volga, was re-elected as Vice Chair. 

The 2023 District Two meeting of the South Dakota Municipal League will be held in Huron.
