The Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting in conjunction with an Awards Night held Tuesday at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse in Madison.  During the meeting, Chamber Executive Director Eric Hortness outlined some of the highlights for the Chamber for the last year.  He said that the Chamber added 22 new investors.  Hortness also talked about Madison sales tax revenue.  He said the sales tax revenue in Madison has gone up every year since 2017.

Hortness also said that the Chamber is planning to put out a Community Map in April 2024.

Hortness said the Madison Community Maps will be displayed across the state at Rest Areas and Visitor Centers, at local hotels as well as handed out to students and families coming to Dakota State University.

As part of Tuesday’s Awards Night, the Chamber honored educators, as well as several awards honoring local businesses and employees.Â
