Area schools and DSU celebrating homecoming this week

It’s going to be another busy week for homecoming celebrations at some area schools.

Howard Schools are celebrating homecoming this week. The week kicks off with coronation of the homecoming royalty tonight. Candidates for Howard are Piper Thompson, Ryder Erickson, Trinity Palmquist, Kade Moschell, Canyon Kidd, Karsten Hamilton, Rylee Rudebusch, and Kaden Hofer. Coronation is tonight at 7:30 at Howard High School.

It’s homecoming this week also at Colman-Egan. Coronation of homecoming royalty for Colman-Egan is tonight at 7:00. Candidates are Reese Luze, Kadance Landis, Berkeley Groos, Ava Mousel, Sawyer Uhing, Ben Zwart, Levi Baumberger, and Logan Voelker. Colman-Egan will also hold a homecoming parade on Friday at 2:00 in Colman.

And speaking of parades, the Dakota State University Trojan Days Parade is this Saturday morning in Madison. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. Saturday on Egan Avenue. Also as part of homecoming week this week at DSU, there will be coronation tonight at 7:30 in the Dakota Prairie Playhouse, and the university’s annual Day of Giving on Thursday.
