Lady Trojans get First Round Bye

THe NAIA has officially announced the teams and pairing for the 2021 NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship Opening Round.  The 48 team NAIA Opening Round event will take place at 8 different locations March 12 – 13th.  

Dakota state was seeded # 12 for the National Tournament, placing them in the Omaha Bracket B at Sokol Arena on the Creighton University Campus.  The Trojans received the #1 seed and a bye in the first round.  They will play the winner of the Cumberlands, Kentucky and Providence, Montana game on Saturday, March 13th.  Game times haven’t been announced.  

The Lady Trojan, 25-3 overall, will be making their seventh overall appearance in the national tournament, the first since the 2007-08 season.

Tickets for the NAIA National Tournament game for DSU go on sale this morning at 10AM.  There will only be 280 general admission tickets sold for the Saturday, March 13th game.
