Madison Accident
A car-pedestrian accident occurred in Madison on Monday morning. According to Madison Police Chief Justin Meyer, a Jeep driven by an 18-year-old Madison resident was traveling north on Josephine Ave when it stopped at the intersection of NW 2nd St. The driver looked both ways and proceeded to make a right turn onto NW 2nd St. At the same time, a 75-year-old Madison resident was riding a bike traveling westbound on the south sidewalk and stated that he stopped at the intersection as well. He also proceeded into the intersection at the same time causing the vehicle and bicycle to collide. The cyclist was transported to Madison Regional Health System to be checked out and was discharged a short time later.
