The Madison High School Oral Interp team picked up seven Superior ratings over the weekend, at the 110th Annual South Dakota Oral Interp Festival in Yankton. Competitors at the Festival qualified through a combination of local school, district and regional competitions. A Superior rating is the equivalent of a state championship in a students contest event.

Achieving a Superior rating for Madison were: Ailin Montgomery in “Storytelling”, Carlie Terrall in “Poetry” and “Non-Original Oratory”, CC Graham in “Humor”, Miki Larson in “Serious” Graham and Montgomery in “Duet”, and Terrall, Hannah LeMair, Katrina Kauffman, and Emma Kruger in Reader’s Theater.

The Madison team also earned a Team Excellence award, and was the only Class A school to receive a Superior rating in all seven categories.
