Madison Bulldogs Still Control Their Destiny

Despite losing on the road last week, the Madison Bulldogs football team is still in position to make the playoffs heading into their final regular season game of the year.

At 3-5, the Bulldogs are sitting at the seven seed in 11A, and even if they were to lose to Custer on Thursday night they should still be one of the eight teams to make the 11A State playoffs.

Custer will come to Madison Thursday night winless on the year, and looking to get their only win of the season against the Bulldogs.

The best Madison could potentially move up is to six, depending on what 4-4 Canton does against 2-6 Chamberlain.

Other teams surrounding Madison in the current standings is Lennox (3-5) at eight, who Madison has the tiebreaker over, and Vermillion (3-5) currently on the outside looking in at the ninth spot. The Bulldogs lost to Vermillion last week.

Kickoff Thursday night is scheduled for 6pm against Custer, and the game can be heard on AM 1390 or at AmazingMadison.com.
