The South Dakota High School Baseball Association named both the Coach of the Year and Player of the Year award winners for this past season, with Aspen Dahl from Madison High School receiving recognition.
Dahl won the Class B Player of the Year award for his stellar 2022 season, both batting and pitching. The other finalists were Jack Kratz from Vermillion, Parker Puetz from Sioux Falls, Bon Homme’s Riley Rothschadl, and Landon Ruesink from Dell Rapids.
On the mound for the Bulldogs, Dahl had a 1.91 ERA with 43 strikeouts in 22 IP. At the plate he had a .562 batting average and 25 runs. Along with his 25 runs, he had 18 RBI’s, 7 Doubles, and also hit 2 home runs.
Dahl will be continuing his baseball career at Mount Marty University.
