After Returning Home Madison Losses in Four Sets

The Madison Bulldogs volleyball team returned home last night, but they lost to Dell Rapids in four sets.

Dell Rapids and Madison split the first two sets, with Dell Rapids winning the first one 25-16 and Madison winning the second 25-14. However, Dell Rapids took the next two sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-22 to get the 3-1 match victory. 

The fourth and final set came down to the wire, however, Dell Rapids pulled away in the end to get both the set and match win. 

Madelynn Henry of Dell Rapids led the night in kills with 15. 

Two Bulldogs eclipsed double-digit kills against Dell Rapids, with Audrey Nelson getting 14 followed by Amanda Vacanti with 13. Both Nelson and Vacanti registered a double-double, with Nelson also getting 11 digs and Vacanti grabbing 16 assists. 

Nelson added five blocks as well, while Vacanti had nine digs. 

The loss dropped Madison to 12-13 on the year, and the Bulldogs will be looking to even up their record on Friday night when they host Elk-Point Jefferson at 7:30pm. Game can be heard on AM 1390 or at AmazingMadison.com.
