Weekend Winter Weather

A stronger storm system will bring another round of winter weather to the northern Plains over this weekend and into early next week. The track of this system, and resulting precipitation types and amounts are still uncertain, but an impactful system appears likely.

The Madison area is expected to receive a mix of light snow and snow and rain over the weekend and potentially into next week.

The national weather service asks that you Please continue to monitor forecasts as Big March storms can be extremely difficult to pinpoint exact totals. 1-2 degrees will mean a difference between 1.5″ of rain or 12″ of snow. They ask that you monitor the forecast over the coming days and adjust your travel plans accordingly.
