One additional COVID-19 death was reported in the state over the weekend.  The state Department of Health reported 136 new positive coronavirus cases, with hospitalizations decreasing to 104 and active cases dipping below 19-hundred.

Lake County reported four new positive COVID-19 cases, with two recovered cases, putting the number of active cases in the county at 25. 

The only other area county to report an increase in active cases since Friday is Kingsbury County, where there are now 24 active cases.  Elsewhere, Moody County had 12 active cases, McCook County reported eight, and Miner County had two.  Brookings County reported 141 active COVID-19 cases as of Sunday.  

The Madison Central School District reported one new positive coronavirus case over the weekend.  Superintendent Joel Jorgenson said Friday that a student or staff member at Madison Middle School had tested positive for COVID-19.  The district is working with the state Department of Health to determine close contacts and will make notifications as necessary.
