Weekend COVID-19 update: 27 deaths in state; 7 new positive cases in Lake County

The state Department of Health reported 27 additional COVID-19 deaths over the weekend.  There have been a total of 1656 COVID-19 deaths in the state since the start of the pandemic.  

More than six hundred new positive coronavirus cases were reported statewide since Friday.  The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now at 105-thousand-544.  There are currently 4662 active cases, and 213 people are hospitalized.

Lake County reported seven new positive cases and four recovered cases over the weekend.  The county has had 1097 positive COVID-19 cases, 1023 recovered cases, and sixteen total deaths.  Currently, there are 58 active coronavirus cases in Lake County.

Also in our area, Moody County has 38 active cases, Kingsbury County reports 33, and Miner County has 29 active COVID-19 cases.  McCook County reports 18 active cases, and Brookings County has 242.
