Wednesday COVID-19 update: One new positive case in Lake County
No new COVID-19 deaths are being reported by the state Department of Health Wednesday. The state’s virus-related death toll remains at 1844. The state is reporting more than 90 new positive COVID-19 cases, and just more than two-thousand active cases at this time. 94 people are currently hospitalized because of the virus.
Lake County reports one new positive COVID-19 case Wednesday, along with three recovered cases. The county’s number of active cases is now at 23.
Kingsbury County currently has 16 active COVID-19 cases, McCook County has 10, and Miner and Moody counties each report nine active COVID-19 cases. Brookings County’s number of active cases dropped below one-hundred to 91 Wednesday.
As far as COVID-19 vaccinations, more than 107-thousand state residents, or sixteen percent, have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while more than 51-thousand have received both doses.
