The state Department of Health reported one COVID-19 death and just more than 260 new positive cases on Wednesday.  The state’s number of virus-related deaths is now at 1864.  The state reported just less than 19-hundred active COVID-19 cases, and 102 people are hospitalized because of the virus.

Lake County reported seven new positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday, along with two recovered cases, increasing the county’s active cases to 29.

In the area, Kingsbury County reported 18 active COVID-19 cases, and McCook and Miner Counties each had ten.  Moody County had eight active coronavirus cases, and Brookings County reported 59.
