Two Men Sentenced on Separate Grand Theft Charges in Lake County

Two men were sentenced on separate grand theft charges Tuesday in Lake County

34-year-old Patrick Hauge had previously pled guilty to one count of Grand Theft and to being a habitual offender.  Hauge was sentenced to serve five years in the state penitentiary, with 18 months suspended.  Circuit Judge Pat Pardy suspended the penitentiary time based on  several conditions, including that Hauge pay court costs and restitution, as well as reimburse the county for his court-appointed attorney’s fees.  Hauge also received 123 days for time he has already served. 

47-year old Shane Jensen was sentenced to 8 years in the state penitentiary. Jensen had previously pled guilty to Grand Theft, as well driving with a revoked license, having an open alcoholic container, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a habitual offender. Judge Pardy suspended 3 of the 8 years of the sentence on several conditions, including that Jensen pay court costs and restitution, as well as reimburse the county for his court-appointed attorney’s fees. Jensen was given credit for 169 days served.
