Another 30 COVID-19 deaths are being reported Thursday by the state Department of Health, putting the state’s total number of virus-related deaths at 1177.  In our area, Thursday’s reported deaths include one in McCook County and two in Brookings County.  

The state reports 704 new positive COVID-19 cases, more than 16-thousand active cases, and 491 people who are hospitalized because of the virus as of Thursday. 

Lake County is reporting one new positive COVID-19 case Thursday, along with eight recovered cases.  Lake County’s overall totals now include 924 positive cases, 757 recovered cases, and 12 deaths.  The county’s number of active cases decreased Thursday to 155.

Elsewhere in our area, Moody County is reporting 102 active COVID-19 cases Thursday, McCook County has 99, and Kingsbury County has 82.  Miner County reports 36 active cases, and Brookings County has 413.
