Thursday COVID-19 update: 3 deaths in state; 2 new positive cases in Lake County
Three additional COVID-19 deaths are being reported in the state Thursday. The state Department of Health reports the state’s virus-related death toll is at 1847. There are 186 new positive COVID-19 cases statewide, and the number of active cases currently is at just more than two-thousand. The state reports that 92 people are hospitalized in the state because of the virus.
Lake County reports two more new positive COVID-19 cases Thursday, and three recovered cases. This now puts the county’s number of active cases at 22.
Elsewhere in our area, Kingsbury County has 17 active COVID-19 cases, McCook County has 12, and Moody County reports 11 active cases Thursday. Miner County reports nine active COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, and Brookings County has 89.
