The state Department of Health reports 25 more COVID-19 deaths in the state Thursday.  This brings the state’s total number of COVID-19 deaths to 1544 since the start of the pandemic.

Statewide, an additional 448 new positive COVID-19 cases are being reported also Thursday, putting the state’s overall total number of positive cases to more than 102-thousand.  Of those cases, close to 61-hundred of them are active at this time, and 264 people are hospitalized because of the virus. 

Lake County reports another eight positive COVID-19 cases Thursday, along with seven recovered cases.  The county currently has 72 active COVID-19 cases.

Elsewhere in our area, Kingsbury County has 35 active cases as of Thursday, and Moody and McCook counties each have 33.  Miner County reports 24 active COVID-19 cases, and Brookings County has 284.
