There will be an election this spring for the Madison City Commission, but not for the Madison Central School Board.

As of Friday’s deadline, three nominating petitions had been filed with the city Finance Office for the two seats open on the Madison City Commission.  Jeremiah Corbin, Kelly Dybdahl, and incumbent commissioner Robert Thill will all be on the ballot on April 13th in the race for the two commission seats.  City commissioners serve three-year terms.

Two nominating petitions had been filed as of Friday for the Madison Central School Board.  Incumbent board members Lori Schultz and Steve Nelson both filed petitions for re-election to their positions so no school board election will be necessary.  School board members also serve three-year terms.

Nominating petitions were due in the Madison City Finance Office and Madison Central Business Office by last Friday, or had to be postmarked by Friday’s date.  As of Tuesday, neither office had received any additional petitions by mail.

The Madison City election will be held on April 13th.Â
