Positive COVID-19 cases increased statewide by 139 over this weekend.  The state’s total number of positive cases is at just under 63-hundred as of Sunday, according to the state Department of Health.  Of those positive cases, 827 of them are active, 89 people are hospitalized, and 81 people have died from the virus.

Lake County remains at four active COVID-19 cases as of Sunday.  The county has had 17 positive cases, with twelve of them reported as recovered and one death.  There have been 621 negative tests in Lake County.

Area counties with active COVID-19 cases include Brookings with 17, Miner County with three, and Kingsbury and Moody Counties each with two cases.  McCook County reports one active coronavirus case at this time.
