One more person in the state has died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 65.  Friday’s death is reported in Meade County, according to the state Department of Health. 

Thirty new positive COVID-19 cases are being reported Friday as well, putting the state’s total number of positive cases since March at 5277.  Of those cases, there are currently 1033 active cases and 83 people who are hospitalized because of COVID-19.  

Lake County has five active cases at this time, with 304 negative tests.  

Elsewhere in our area, Brookings County has four active COVID-19 cases, Moody County has three, and Kingsbury County currently has two.  McCook and Miner County are each reporting one active coronavirus case as of Friday.
