State DOH adding another COVID-19 vaccine priority group next week

Good progress continues to be made statewide as far as distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state Department of Health.  Health Secretary Kim Malsam-Rysdon said Wednesday that the state’s allocation of vaccine will increase to close to 19-thousand doses next week.  This week, those who are 65 and over have been added to the priority list for receiving vaccine.  Malsam-Rysdon said another group will be added starting next week.

Malsam-Rysdon said adding this group to the priority list represents the progress the state is making in getting through this large group.

Malsam-Rysdon said that they anticipate beginning to vaccinate this group no later than March 8th.
