South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks Bounty Program

The South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks Nest Predator Bounty Program is currently open for ages under 18 years old.

The species included in the bounty program are raccoons, striped skunks, badgers, opossums, and red fox. The program is to help reduce the localized populations of nest predators to help enhance pheasant and duck nest success, while also helping to increase trapping participation from all ages.

To be eligible for the program the listed nest predators must be harvested during the program timeframe by respective age groups. Youth under 18 years old are already eligible for the program and will be until July 1st. All other South Dakota residents will be eligible starting Saturday, April 1st.

Cody Symens with the Game, Fish, and Parks mentioned pick-up location and dates.

Those who participate in the bounty program will receive $10 per tail for the listed species, and must submit the tail bone and entire tail of the species to receive payment. Participants can submit up to $590 worth of tails per household.
