South Dakota DOT is holding online public meeting of upcoming reconstruction project on Highway 34 through Colman

The South Dakota Department of Transportation is holding an online public meeting to inform area residents of an upcoming reconstruction project on Highway 34 through Colman.  The construction project includes Highway 34 from the junction with 469th Avenue to the east side of Colman city limits.  

Due to limitations on public gatherings recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, the state D-O-T is posting information to the study website rather than presenting documents at an in-person public meeting.  

The D-O-T says the goal of the project is to meet the needs of the growing community by providing safe and accessible bike and pedestrian paths, a center turn lane, updated storm sewer and pipe, lighting for the roadway and pedestrian facilities, and a new concrete surface.
