Skid loader raffle kicks off this weekend

The annual WIN BIG raffle, with a chance to win a 2021 Gehl Skid Steer Loader, kicks off this weekend. The Interlakes Area United Way is giving away the 38-thousand dollar skid loader this fall at the Dakota State University Ag Bowl in September.

Raffle tickets are 100-dollars each, and the Interlakes Area United Way is selling 600 of them this year. Money raised through the raffle goes to help community service programs in Lake, Miner and Moody counties. Tickets have sold out the past two years, leading to the United Way deciding to increase their fundraising goal to 60-thousand dollars, or all 600 tickets.

The winner of the raffle receives a 2021 Gehl skid loader equipped with a deluxe cab enclosure with heater, defroster, deluxe suspension seat, T-bar controls, seat belt, bar and various other features.

Lake County International of Madison donated the skid steer and is the contest’s premier sponsor.

Additional raffle sponsors include First Bank & Trust, Heartland Consumers Power District, East River Electric Power Cooperative, Farm Credit Services of America, Great Western Bank, First Premier Bank, BankWest and Dakota State University.
