Positive COVID-19 cases at 1168 in SD; majority of new cases in Minnehaha & Lincoln counties

The number of positive COVID-19 cases in the state surpassed 11-hundred Wednesday. In numbers released by the state Department of Health, South Dakota now has a total of 1168 positive COVID-19 cases. Wednesday’s jump of 180 cases has all but four of them coming from Minnehaha or Lincoln counties. There are no additional new cases reported in Lake or any other of our area counties.

Currently in the state, there are 329 people who have recovered from the virus, six people who have died, and 51 people who have been hospitalized because of COVID-19.
