While the number of new positive COVID-19 cases increased Monday in Lake County, so did the number of recovered cases.  The state Department of Health reports 23 new positive cases in the county, along with 36 recovered cases Monday.  This now puts the number of active COVID-19 cases in Lake County at 225.

Statewide, 897 new positive cases are being reported Monday, with no new deaths reported and 560 people currently hospitalized.  There are currently more than 18-thousand active COVID-19 cases in the state, which is down from more than 19-thousand reported on Sunday.

The number of active cases decreased in area counties as well. McCook County reports 187 active COVID-19 cases, Kingsbury County has 131, and Moody County reports 97 active cases as of Monday.  Miner County currently has 37 active COVID-19 cases, and Brookings County has 507.
