Eleven more COVID-19 deaths were reported on Monday, bringing the state’s overall total number of deaths to 1667.  115 new positive virus cases were also reported Monday, with the state Department of Health now reporting just more than 46-hundred active cases statewide and just more than 200 people hospitalized.

Lake County reported two new positive COVID-19 cases Monday, along with one recovered case.  The county currently has 59 active COVID-19 cases.

Other area counties saw little to no change in their number of active cases yesterday.  Moody County reported 38 active COVID-19 cases, Kingsbury County had 33, and Miner County reported 29 active cases.  McCook County had 18 active COVID-19 cases, and Brookings County reported 243.

The state Department of Health also reported Monday that more than 47-thousand people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with more than 98-hundred people having completed the two-dose series.
