Mathison retiring from Madison City Electric Department

A long-time employee of the Madison City Electric Department is retiring.

Bob Mathison is retiring at the end of this week after more than 30 years as a power lineman with the City of Madison.  

Utilities Service Coordinator Tess Nelson said that because of COVID-19 CDC guidelines and at Mathison’s request, there will not be a public celebration of Mathison’s retirement.  Nelson said the Electric Department will have a private departmental gathering that shows their appreciation while following the necessary guidelines.
