Madison man sentenced on Lake County drug charge

A Madison man was sentenced this week in Lake County Circuit Court on a felony drug charge.  35-year-old Nathan Bearheels earlier pleaded guilty to a felony charge of Unauthorized Ingestion of a Controlled Drug or Substance and a misdemeanor charge of Contributing to the abuse, neglect, or delinquency of a child.

Circuit Judge Pat Pardy sentenced Bearheels to four years in the state penitentiary on the felony drug charge.  The judge suspended Bearheels’ penitentiary time based on several conditions, some of which include that he be on supervised probation for four years, pay his fine and court costs totaling more than 650-dollars, and re-pay his court appointed attorney’s fees.

On the misdemeanor charge, Judge Pardy sentenced Bearheels to serve 180 days in jail, and suspended all but 60 days, also based on similar conditions to the felony charge.
