Madison man arrested on arson and kidnapping charges

A Madison man has been arrested on several charges after a domestic assault incident last week.  Madison Police report that 27-year-old Robert Two Two Junior was arrested last Monday after allegedly assaulting a woman at her residence on Northwest 2nd Street, not allowing her to leave, and then starting a fire in the residence.  The victim stated that she was able to climb through a window on the opposite end of the apartment to get away from Two Two, who said he was going to burn her apartment down.  Police said the victim returned to the apartment about five minutes later and found two pillows and a blanket on fire on a bed.  She said she was able to put the fire out and left to go to a friend’s place on Northwest 7th Street.  Upon returning to her apartment a second time, police report that the victim found Two Two there and he assaulted and prevented her from leaving again.  Once she was able to leave, police said the victim went back to an apartment on Northwest 7th Street and was followed by Two Two.  Police found Two Two at the apartment building.  He was arrested on charges of First Degree Arson, Second Degree Kidnapping, Simple Assault Domestic, as well as a 24-7 violation, and a Lake County warrant for Failure to Appear.  Two Two is in custody in the Lake County Jail.
