Madison Food Pack to be held on January 28th

Two area non-profit organizations are joining together to help pack meals for Nicaragua, one of the poorest countries in South America.

The large pack of meals will take place in Madison on Saturday, January 28th at the downtown Madison City Armory.  The two organizations are Kids Against Hunger and Helping Kids Round First.  Scott Parsley of Madison is part of the Helping Kids Round First organization and is helping organize Madison’s large pack of meals.

Parsley said they are still looking for people, groups, or organizations who want to take part in the food pack.

Parsley said that there will be three shifts available for those who want to help, starting at 8:00 a.m. on the 28th.  He said that there will be ten lines for bagging meals, with up to 12 people per line, so 120 people are needed for each of three, two-hour shifts.

Parsley said that they are also raising money to help with the costs of the project.
