Madison City officials encourage mask wearing

With positive COVID-19 cases increasing in Lake County, Madison City officials are encouraging residents to wear masks whenever possible.  Commissioner Adam Shaw said during the commission’s meeting Monday that he’s received several e-mails from residents regarding a mask mandate, but he said he doesn’t want to do that.

Mayor Marshall Dennert said he has received comments on both sides of the issue as well, and also encourages residents to wear masks.

Lake County had 135 active COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday.
