The Madison City Commission is holding its weekly meeting later today instead of Monday because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday.

On the agenda for the commission is David Shpigler, Senior Consultant for CMG Consulting, with an Advanced Metering Infrastructure Analysis.  Commissioners will also set the bid date for the renovation of the city’s water building, and also for the city’s sidewalk improvement project for 2020.

Also on the agenda for commissioners is the 2020 Annual Intent to continue day care operation for the state Department of Social Services’ Before and After School Center.  The commission will also authorize the mayor to sign a proposal from Michael Johnson Construction for creek cleaning.

An executive session is scheduled for the end of today’s meeting in order for commissioners to consult with legal counsel or review communications from legal counsel about proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters.

The Madison City Commission meeting begins at 5:30 today in the commission room in Madison City Hall. Â
