Madison City Commission meeting Monday

The Madison City Commission has a number of items on its agenda for its regular meeting Monday.

Commissioners are scheduled to discuss the professional services agreement with Houston Engineering for the design of 9th Street from Park Creek to Highland Avenue and Union Avenue north of 9th Street, and also provide direction to staff regarding the 2021 opening of the Madison Aquatic Center.  The commission will also canvass the votes from last week’s municipal election, and discuss a letter of assurance agreement for the West Center Baptist Church Addition.

Also on the commission’s agenda are agreements with the Lewis and Clark Rural Water System and with the Clay Rural Water System Incorporated to sell a portion of the city’s current water capacity to the Clay Rural Water System.  Commissioners will also consider an application from Los Tapatios for a permit to occupy right-of-way for outdoor seating on South Egan Avenue, and consider a sidewalk variance appeal for the city’s 2021 sidewalk improvement project.

These items of business and more make up the agenda for the Madison City Commission’s meeting today.  The meeting starts at 5:30 in the commission room in Madison City Hall and also through the use of Zoom.
