Madison City Commission meeting Monday

The Madison City Commission is holding its regular meeting Monday.

The commission will review and award bids on a 750-thousand gallon water tower as part of the city’s water system improvement project, and also on the Memorial Park playground concrete slab project and sewer jet trailer. Commissioners Monday will set the bid date for the padmount VFI switchgear. Also on the commission’s agenda is a letter from the state regarding the CARES Act Library Technology grant, and an appearance by Michael Johnson regarding the trailer court on Northwest 9th Street. Commissioners will also provide an update on COVID-19. An executive session to discuss personnel, proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters, and also to prepare for contract negotiations is scheduled for the end of Monday’s commission meeting. Commissioners will also hold a discussion on the city’s 2021 budget after Monday’s regular meeting.

The Madison City Commission meeting Monday begins at 5:30. The meeting is held in the commission room and virtually using the GoToMeeting application.
