Madison City Commission accepts proposal for MAC labor

The Madison City Commission has accepted a proposal for work to be done at the Madison Aquatic Center.  Utilities Director Brad Lawrence told commissioners during their meeting Monday that only one proposal was received and that was from Muth Electric of Sioux Falls.  Lawrence said that Muth Electric’s proposal of close to 36-thousand dollars will be to perform the work needed for the new electrical equipment at the Aquatic Center.

Lawrence said that Muth Electric can start work this week on what the city has available for them.

Lawrence said that the city’s insurance settlement should cover the majority of the work that needs to be completed.

Lawrence said that Muth Electric estimated it would take them six to eight weeks to get what they need to do done at the Aquatic Center.Â
