Madison Central School reports positive COVID-19 case sunday

Madison Central School District officials reported one more positive COVID-19 case on Sunday.  Superintendent Joel Jorgenson informed parents that a student or staff member at Madison Middle School had tested positive for COVID-19.  He said that there are no school close contacts with this positive case.  

All Madison Central School buildings remain at a Level One status, with currently one active Middle School and two active Elementary School cases.

  As of Friday, Lake County reported 52 active COVID-19 cases.  The state Department of Health reported ten additional COVID-19 deaths, and just more than 77-hundred active cases statewide.  Also as of Friday, 190 people in the state were hospitalized with COVID-19.
