Madison Central School Board reviews preliminary budget information

The Madison Central School Board will hear more about the district’s budget for the next year at its next meeting in June.  The board on Monday received the preliminary budget numbers and information from Business Manager Mitchell Brooks.  The appropriations included in the preliminary budget for the year 2020-2021 total close to 15-point-four-million dollars.

Brooks said the budget is very similar to the current year’s budget, and during Monday’s board meeting he outlined a few of the bigger changes there will be in it.

Brooks said that he will go through the budget more in depth with the board at a hearing that the board set for its next meeting on June 8th, starting at 5:45. Â
