The Madison Central School Board will hold its regular meeting today.  The board is meeting online starting at 5:30 today.  

On the agenda for the Madison Central School Board today is the approval of the issuance of the 2020-2021 certified Title One teacher contracts, and the issuance of the administrators’ 2020-2021 contracts with the salary to be determined later.  The board is also scheduled to approve the district’s Prairie Lakes Education Co-op contract amendment, and membership in the South Dakota High School Activities Association.  

School board members today will consider a new date for the school board election, hear an update on the summer food service program, and consider the surplus of an old payloader to auction.  In personnel action, board members are set to approve the resignation of Christen Hildebrandt as a High School Social Studies teacher effective at the end of the school year. They will also approve a couple of new hirings for the 2020-2021 school year – Kaylee Nielsen as a Special Education teacher, and Brenna Johnson as a Middle School teacher to replace Steve Gors, who will be the High School and Middle School Alternative Learning Instructor replacing Nancy Falor, who is retiring at the end of this school year. 

Executive sessions to discuss personnel matters and for negotiations will be held at the end of today’s board meeting.
