Madison Central School Board approves personnel items

The Madison Central School Board approved several personnel items during its regular meeting on Monday. 

The board approved the hiring of Audra Lynam as a high school English teacher for the 2022-23 school year, and approved hiring Tara Liesinger as a middle school golf coach for this school year.  Board members also approved the resignation of Joe Bundy as the Head Boys Tennis Coach effective at the end of the year, contingent upon the hiring of a replacement, and also the resignation of elementary paraprofessional Amy Mottl, effective April 20th.  

Superintendent Joel Jorgenson said that they are still working on filling some open positions in the district, including two counselor positions.  

In other business Monday, the school board approved the district’s membership in the South Dakota High School Activities Association, and a professional services agreement with Prairie Lakes Educational Cooperative.
