Madison Airport receiving CARES Act grant
The Madison Municipal Airport has been approved for a grant from the federal government. Through the Federal Aviation Administration, the Airport applied for a federal CARES Act grant after receiving authorization from the Madison City Commission earlier this month. City Finance Officer Jennifer Eimers told commissioners during their meeting Tuesday that the grant had been approved for 30-thousand dollars for the airport.
Eimers said that the Airport will have four years to use the money. She said that the city’s Airport Board is discussing its options for utilizing the funds.
