Lindsay takes oath of office during Monday’s Madison City Commission meeting

The City of Madison’s next Mayor will take his oath of office Monday.  Roy Lindsay will be sworn in during Monday’s Madison City Commission meeting.  

Also on the agenda for the commission Monday is the resolution outlining the powers and duties of the Mayor and Commissioners, and a resolution amending employee compensation for the Finance restructure.  Commissioners will also discuss summer hours and staffing, as well as admission rates at the Madison Aquatic Center, and a contract with Sodexo for concession services at the Aquatic Center.  

City commissioners will discuss a quote for mitigation services on the historic Memorial Creek walls, as well as a cost proposal for Geotechnical Services on the walls.  Commissioners will also approve an amendment for the Houston Engineering contract for Northwest 9th Street and North Union Avenue.  

An executive session to discuss personnel is scheduled for the end of Monday’s commission meeting.

The Madison City Commission meeting Monday starts at 5:30 in the commission room in Madison City Hall.  It’s also accessible through Zoom.
