Another positive COVID-19 case is being reported in Lake County Thursday.  The state Department of Health reports Lake County now has had 23 positive cases, with 19 of them recovered and one death, putting the number of active cases currently at three.  There have been 700 negative tests in Lake County.

Overall, statewide, the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased by 94 Thursday, putting the state’s overall total at 7336.  904 of those cases are listed as active by the state.  

Three more deaths from the virus are being reported Thursday as well.  The deaths are in residents of Yankton, Pennington, and Todd counties.  The total number of deaths in the state is now at 101.  61 people are currently hospitalized because of COVID-19.

In other area counties, McCook County’s positive cases increased by one Thursday, with the number of active cases there now at six.  There are currently four active COVID-19 cases in Miner County, and three in Moody County, while Brookings County is reporting 17 active cases at this time.
