Lake County Commission meeting Tuesday

The Lake County Commission is scheduled to hold its first meeting of the new year on Tuesday. Newly elected county officials will take their oaths of office at 8:30 Tuesday morning.  This includes County Commissioners Kelli Wollmann and Corey Johnke, as well as Register of Deeds Shirley Ebsen and Sheriff Tim Walburg.  

The regular meeting for county commissioners will start at 9:00 Tuesday morning, and will include the 2023 reorganization and election of chair and vice-chair for the commission.  Commissioners will also approve several other annual business items, including board appointments, the 2023 wage scale and salary listing, and commission meeting dates and times.  The commission is also scheduled to approve personnel action, and acknowledge a letter from Minnehaha County Board of Commissioners regarding a proposed juvenile justice center.

At 9:30 Tuesday morning, Toby Morris with Colliers Securities LLC will meet with commissioners, along with Commission Administrative Officer Shelli Gust, to discuss Tax Increment District Number Six, including a project plan and resolution.
