Lake County 4-H Achievement Days going on this week in Madison

It’s the time many local 4-H members look forward to each year.  Lake County’s 4-H Achievement Days are taking place this week in Madison, and there are many different activities and shows going on.  While much of the activity ramps up on Thursday, there are a couple of animal shows today, including the 4-H Dog Show and Companion Animal Show.

Lake County 4-H Youth Program Advisor Jen Hayford said there is a full slate of things going on Thursday at the 4-H grounds.

Hayford said the activities continue at the 4-H grounds also on Friday.

Achievement Day events in Lake County wrap up on Friday afternoon with the Parade of Champions and the Round Robin shows.  The Exhibit Building will also be open both Thursday and Friday starting at 8:00 a.m. for anyone wanting to take a look at some of the 4-H members’ projects that they entered.

Hayford said that no matter the project, 4-H members have put in a lot of work and appreciate the support.

Hayford said that everything wraps up at the 4-H grounds in Madison on Friday afternoon.

KJAM will be talking to Lake County 4-H members from Achievement Days throughout the day on Thursday on FM 103.1.
